HIGHLIGHTS

• Flower – yellow, red, orange, pink, red, and even white.
• Edible – edible leaves, roots and seeds. The roots may be cooked; the leaves and seeds may be eaten raw or cooked, and the seeds ground into a powder for soups.

• Uses – Purslane may be used fresh as a salad, stir-fried, or cooked as spinach

PLANTING & CARE

• Temperature – Prefers temperature 10 to 38 degrees C
• Water – Newly planted– Apply water. General caring tips- Plant should get 4-6 hours of direct or indirect bright sunlight a day.
• Light – Keep the plant in indirect bright light location for 2-3 days and then gradually move to a location that receives 4-6 hours of direct or indirect bright sunlight a day.
• Fertilizer –  Apply any organic fertilizer during the main growing season (June-July)
• Pruning – Prune your Portulaca plant by cutting or pinching the broken, dead, dying, or damaged branches by using clean cutting shear.
